PiPho Anniversary Exhibit
Theme for our exhibit this July is about Landscape and Travel. Read details at http://www.pinoyphotography.org/forum/index.php?topic=71477.0;topicseen

Landscape photos would be sceneries, panoramas, vistas, mountain-scapes or sea-scapes/ coastal, long-exposures in color, b/w or IR formats. Travel photos will be of similar context but with conventional elements associated or attributed to travel like historical, cultural and experience/ feeling/ emotion.

Please email to info@pipho.org, with your full name, title of photo and short caption.

You are to capture or interpret Independence day in ANY place or part of the country. Photos must be taken on the contest date June 12, 2010 only.

Submission of entries

Venue: Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines Inc Bldg.

Entries

Image must be color only, No Black and White, No Monotone nor Duotone,
No Infrared
Maximum of 3 entries per photographer, Individual entries only No club entries
Entry size is 8 x12 inches WITHOUT border
Film or digital camera and printed out on ANY paper, Deskjet / Laser prints are allowed
Information must be affixed at the back of each photo entry – Photographer’s name, camera club, Contact number
* You may use pwc individual entry form.

Provisions

Minimal enhancements limited only to cropping, colors, and minimal retouching such as brightness, contrast, levels, curves, dodging, & burning
Adding or erasing elements, composites, layering & masking processes in your photo are NOT allowed
NO alteration after exposure. Any creative effects must be done in-camera at the time of exposure, such as multiple exposure, flash fill, light painting, filtration, zoom effects, etc.

Entrant must be the owner of the photograph

By joining this contest you are granting FPPF right to publish your photos for promotional purposes. Rights will be retained to the owner and photographer’s name will be acknowledged.

Winning Entries

Top 10 winners will be required to submit the original entry or entries to our PWC Chairman thru email {yetguevarra@yahoo.com}.
To facilitate sending through email, you may resize the original image to smaller file size.

Files to be submitted must NOT undergone post process and must be submitted within seven (7) days after judging.

Prizes
———
NO cash prize. Same as in our PWC monthly themes – points will be awarded to the winners and finalist.

Special prize will be awarded for winning photo taken at Rizal Park (a.k.a. “Luneta”) particularly the special event on that day. From early morning Flag Ceremony onwards.

The decision of the Board of Judges and committee shall be final.

Last March 13 (Saturday), PiPho participated in an OTS (On-the-Spot) dry run by the Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation (FPPF). The event was joined by 16 other photo clubs under FPPF. Wherein each club is represented by up to maximum of 3 club members. PiPho was represented by Zer Cabatuan, Mon Corpuz and Dinno Sandoval.

In this OTS, the theme “Human interest with an element of Intramuros” was given during the briefing. Participants were only given 2 hrs to shoot w/ only 1 memory card and 1 camera body. Each participants were required to only submit one digital entry and it should not be manipulated whatsoever.

Judging of entries were made by Ed Santiago, a veteran photojournalist.

Out of the 40 plus entries submitted that day, Mon Corpuz’s entry placed 10th overall. Congratulations Mon!

-A street that you won’t be able to identify. ie not famous streets. Local only.
- as explained by the club that suggested the theme, this is not limited to “street.” Any roads, pathways can be submitted.
